Medi-Facials
A medical grade facial entails using products containing active ingredients to help revitalize dull, dehydrated skin. By active ingredients, we mean products that are tested through intensive research for their effectiveness, and are usually only dispensed through a physician’s office. It could entail combining the exfoliating peels with the facial including specific acids designed especially for your skin, including the glycolic acid, the salicylic acid, or the lactic acid peel. Depending on your own skin condition, Southeast Med Spa can customize a facial for you.
The Basic Steps of a Facial
A facial begins with a thorough cleansing using cotton pads or sponges and a product chosen for your skin type (normal, dry, oily, combination, sensitive, or mature.) The esthetician performs a skin analysis by covering your eyes and looking at your skin through a brightly lit magnifying lamp that reveal various skin conditions. Next your face is exfoliated using a mechanical or chemical exfoliant. Mechanical exfoliation has a gritty texture and usually happens while a steam vapor is directed at your face. Some facials may use steam towels instead. If necessary, the esthetician will perform extractions of blackheads and whiteheads if you want desire. Then you are given a facial massage using classic strokes to relax you and stimulate your skin and facial muscles. A facial mask or other skin care products are applied specific to your skin type and condition. Finally, a protective cream (such as sunscreen) or a mineral powder will be applied to your face.
At the end of your session, the technician will offer advice on home skin care and products targeted to address your unique skin care issues and concerns. A facial usually lasts between 35-45 minutes, People usually find it very relaxing and informative. It’s great preparation for any special event.

Spa Facial – 55 min/$75
Consists of a consultation, cleansing, steaming, exfoliation, massage and sunblock (extractions optional).
Teen/Acne Facial – 55 min/$75
This deep pore cleansing includes extractions, exfoliation and a treatment mask. Start your teen off right with a good skin care regimen.
Anti-Aging Facial - 45 min/$75
This deep cleansing includes steaming, brightening enzyme mask, exfoliating scrub followed by a rehydrating facial massage and sun block.
Sunless Spray Tanning
Now you can achieve a sun kissed appearance without actually absorbing dangerous rays from the sun. We are proud to provide professional airbrush tanning sunfx.com.au. The active ingredient used in our tanning formula is an all-natural sugar based DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) along with other high-end botanicals for that instant glow. DHA works with the amino acids in your skin that creates a deep, bronze tan… except without any possibility of getting burned! Sunburns can be painful and lead to damaged skin that result in wrinkling, sagging, formation of brownish age spots and blotches, freckles on the skin, not to mention fatal skin diseases including skin cancer. Sunless tanning is safe and will give you a perfect, golden tan with no orange tones and no streaks. It’s safe for men and women of all ages, even if you are pregnant!
While you’ll be tan immediately after using our spray on tan, your tan will gradually darken and set in over the next 12-24 hours following application. The tan will last 5-7 days depending on how thick the tanning agent is applied. Remember, spray tanning does not contain sunscreen of any type.
